Maxim, whose father is the 36th head of the Swinton Clan, is a distant cousin of Tilda Swinton. He was born in New York City. His mother, actress Inna Swinton (née Idelchik), was originally from Riga, Latvia, and his father, Rolfe Swinton, is Canadian-born.Maxim has been performing in films, TV and theatre since age 1!
