Writer/Director Michael Walker made his feature filmmaking debut with the Lions Gate release Chasing Sleep starring Jeff Daniels. Chasing Sleep premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in, and went on to win Best Film at Festival of Fantastic Film in Sweden, and Jury Prize at Gerardmer.A graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Film Program, Michael also studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory for Acting in Los Angeles.His latest film, Price Check, starring Parker Posey, premiered at Sundance in 2012 to rave reviews. It is being distributed theatrically by IFC Films, opening November 2012.He is editing his next film, The Maid's Room, with Dolly Hall producing.He lives in New York.
