Mike Adams attended Passaic County Tech in Wayne, N.J. He went on to attend the University of Delaware and graduated with a degree in communications. Adams played in 43 games with 23 starts at Delaware where he Earned second-team All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors as a senior in 2003 while serving as co-captain for Blue Hens team that went 15-1 and captured NCAA Division I Football Subdivision national title. Adams began his NFL career when he signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with San Francisco (4/28/04). He went on to have stints in Cleveland, Indianapolis and Denver before signing as an unrestricted free agent with Carolina (3/10/17). Adams started every game at strong safety in 2017 for a Carolina defense that ranked seventh in the league in total yards allowed. He tied for fourth on the team with 75 tackles and added 10 passes defensed, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Adams earned first career Pro Bowl selection in 2014 after tying for the NFL lead with seven takeaways - five interceptions and two fumble recoveries while he amassed a career- high 93 tackles.
