Mike has recently completed his debut survival-thriller, OUTBACK. Lionsgate release the intense and gritty thriller June 2020.Mike Green is of Chinese and English heritage. He hails from a celebrated career in hospitality. His award-winning restaurants helped propel the organic food movement to what it is today.Now as a filmmaker, Mike's shorts have played across the globe and won numerous awards. MOTHER, starring Maya Stange (XX/XY, GALORE, GARAGE DAYS), premiered in-competition at the Melbourne International Film Festival 2014 where Mike was selected for MIFF's prestigious Director's Lab, Accelerator. MOTHER made its international premiere in 2015 at Berlin's Interfilm.Mike spent much of 2014 as Director's Assistant to screenwriter James Vanderbilt's (ZODIAC, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 1 & 2) directorial debut, TRUTH, starring Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford. In 2015, Mike co-wrote feature script REVERSION which placed in multiple high profile screenplay contests. Mike is also developing a slate of elevated genre, market driven projects.
