Miles was born outside of Atlantic City, NJ. The son of two musicians, he began acting and dance programs from an early age. After years of competitive theatre in high school, he received a BFA in Acting from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. During his apprenticeship at Williamstown Theatre Festival, Miles met many of the artists that have become his creative colleagues. He regularly travels to Nova Scotia for filmmaking retreats led by close friend and filmmaker Ann Lupo (Lumanova Pictures).
