Nick Mercer was born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He has voiced scores of animation and puppet characters, including all the characters in 200 episodes of Blue Cow for BBC TV. He has appeared in some of the Uk's longest running comedy series, and as a character presenter in several Children's Television series. As a theatre performer he played Timon in The Lion King for six years at the Lyceum Theatre, London, and for a further 8 months in Basel, Switzerland.
