Before becoming a home economist, Nikki worked in everything from financial services to a theatre in Sheffield. Her start in the food world came when she took on the role of Jimmy Doherty's assistant and events organiser, putting her in contact with some of the best chefs and home economists in the business. An invite to help out on a shoot led to more offers of work and she's never looked back since, working on photo ops, television programmes, and live food shows with the likes of Paul Hollywood, Janet Street Porter, and Ade Edmondson.
