A native to Wilmington, NC, Randy lived equally in Germany as he did in North Carolina. In the years living in Wilmington, he was exposed to the film industry and was eventually brought in to work on a CBS Hallmark Production, What the Deaf Man Heard (1997). A year later, he ended up on the pilot for Dawson's Creek as a featured extra. He's the older brother to Aaron Schiener.
