Reed was born in Pacific Palisades, CA in 1964. He began acting in film and TV in 1985. He attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and is a UCLA graduate. He played Lt.Roger Chaffee is Apollo 13 (1995), Spicer in Sundance winner, Pastime(1990), Kevin McKane is Scotland P.A.(2001) and numerous other TV shows and films. Reed is active in the voiceover community, narrating multiple series for CNBC, VH1, Encore and for NFL films. He has performed with Naked Angles Theater Co in NY and created and performed with avant-garde theater giant, Anne Bogart. For 20 years he acted, directed and mentored kids in L.A.'s Virginia Ave. Project. He is also the voice coach to many on-air talent at KCRW.
