[If his ex-series' lead, Mickey Rooney, while traveling from Los Angeles to Vancouver for the taping of The Adventures of Black Stallion (1990), was going to be a surrogate grandfather to him]: To be fair, that is a two hour flight, it's not that far from Los Angeles to Vancouver. I don't know if he didn't have any paperwork in terms of adopting me as a sort of a grandson, but I think I probably fulfilled that role.

[Of Mickey Rooney]: Mickey was fantastic as Henry did, totally! I don't think anybody else would've played Henry better than Mickey, and having been a good teacher, yeah for sure, I mean, you can't be around someone like that and not learn a great deal of things. He was really about how to be the best actor that I could be and how to be professional, and to be a good person on the set, for sure!

[on his on- and off-screen chemistry with Mickey Rooney, who played Henry Dailey]: He certainly can be funny at times. He was a great guy to work with, a massive influence; and also somebody [who frankly] is part of that Hollywood royalty, the people that he knew and the stories that he had we're amazing and there were funny stories and it's definitely up there with one of the best and most interesting experiences I had in my career, absolutely!

[When asked if he attended Mickey Rooney's 90th Birthday Party in 2010]: I wasn't at the party, so, it didn't come up between us, because I wasn't there. But I would imagine so, he has an amazing career. I would imagine that he's pretty humble about it.

[Of Gavin MacLeod encouraging him to find an unfamiliar child actress to dance with, if he were on The Love Boat (1977)]: I think that he would certainly find me another unfamiliar, unknown, unfamous child actress to dance with.

It's funny, I've been teaching film acting for many years, since I was a little guy - I was 19. I was always short, so technically, I was still a little guy. Overtime, I've had the pleasure, I've had the honor of working with kids who have had some challenges, and it has been an amazing experience, I've always enjoyed doing it. It always helps me look at things in a new way and an arrange of challenges, kids who are physically challenged, but also kids who are autistic kids, and kids with Asperger's, and what not. So, I've always had a great time working with all kids, so everyone gets a chance to sort of bring something new to the experience and it always impacts me in a new way.

[About Canadians who speak with the same king of accents]: Across Canada, there are a collection of accents. They're not as diversed as the accents in the UK [where they're extremely from one village to the net, you can drive 30 minutes, and have a different accent], or even in the states, where the East Coast sounds a lot like the West Coast and obviously, Southerners quite sound a bit different form each other, as well.

[When he would play favorite roles to people]: Of course, I do, that's why I have a best friend. Absolutely, I've been to a point.

I have played Mortal Kombat. I was awful at it, I'm not very good at two scrolling games. That was an all-generation of game that I was not good at.
