Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Richard is a versatile film, tv, and theatre actor. Before attending The New Zealand Drama School he was a professional sportsman, playing waterpolo in Germany, captaining the NZ National team, and competing at the Junior World Champs and the World Student Games. Since graduating from Drama School, he has been a regular on screen and stage. His film credits include the multi award-winning 'Out Of The Blue' - a film based on a real event in NZ, the comedy/horror 'Freshmeat', and 'Underworld III: Rise of the Lycans'. He has worked on every major TV show in NZ - most recently Nothing Trivial, Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud, The Almighty Johnson's, Shortland St, and Go Girls.
