Richard Stevenson
US-American author and journalist who is best known for his popular series of mystery novels featuring gay detective Donald Strachey. The long running series began in 1981 and has fifteen novels at last count, four of which have been adapted into films. Stevenson is a pen name as the author's real name is Richard Lipez.
