Director and actor, Saffron Cassaday, was born and raised in Toronto and after completing high school immediately traveled to New York City to study acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Upon returning to Toronto, she continued to cultivate her acting skills through a number of feature film projects and TV shows, while developing her skills behind the camera as well.The documentary film "Cyber-Seniors" was Saffron's directorial debut. It successfully screened in 14 film festivals, winning Audience Choice Award at the High Falls Film Festival in 2014. The Cyber-Seniors trailer was nominated for Best Foreign Trailer - Golden Trailer Awards - 2014, and recently the film was nominated for the American Library Association Notable Videos for Adults - 2016. Saffron has received well over 200 accolades for the film and her work, several coming from the most prestigious media outlets in North America. Saffron is a member of the Documentary Organization of Canada and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
