Sam Wineman is best known for directing The Quiet Room as well as Shudder's upcoming horror documentary. The Quiet Room has been an official selection of dozens of festivals, including NewFest, Wicked Queer, and OutFest Fusion. His work has won awards at Midsummer Scream, FilmOut San Diego, Horrible Imaginings, FilmQuest, NOLA Horror Film Fest, and Nevermore.Sam earned his MFA from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film & Media Arts, where his thesis film was selected for the Leo Freedman Foundation's First Cut, a showcase of that year's best work. Prior to his time at Chapman University, Sam earned his bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley, where he graduated with distinction.
