Samantha Jean is an Australian actress. She is best known for her role as Elaine in 'Beyond Skyline' (Netflix)Jean was born Samantha Kwok in Sydney, Australia. Her father is Chinese and her mother is Caucasian Australian.In 2011, she moved to Singapore to study a career In Musical Theater under her birth name, Samantha Kwok. While in Singapore, she performed in touring shows across South East Asia and in 2014 was cast in the feature 'Beyond Skyline' directed by Liam O'Donnell. After wrapping, Jean decided to make the permanent move to Los Angeles, California.While pursuing an acting career in Australia, Singapore & Hollywood, she changed her professional name to "Samantha Jean", after having trouble booking gigs with her last name. Jean decided to use her middle name rather than her last to avoid difficulties being cast as an ethnic Asian Australian.
