Sasha Krane trained from an early age as a Method actor in New York and developed a passion for theatre and film. The nephew of legendary acting teacher, Lee Strasberg, Sasha moved to Los Angeles and began writing and directing stage plays.The production of his first work, Leftover Hearts, at The Marilyn Monroe Theatre garnered strong reviews and was soon followed by Astyanax, a short film he wrote and directed. His next short film, A Little Death, won Best Romantic Drama at the 2004 New York International Film Festival. Sasha went on to direct several short films and plays before moving onto feature films.Most recently, Sasha directed the independent feature film Solitary. Since making it's festival debut in January, Solitary has received twelve awards and thirteen nominations, including eight Best Feature wins and two Best Director nominations. It was the opening night film of both the Chelsea Film Festival in New York and the London Independent Film Festival.In addition to writing and directing, Sasha is the Lee Strasberg Institute's resident director, where he teaches acting for film and television.
