Scott attended the University of Southern California and received his start in the business from Harry Thomason and Linda Bloodworth, who gave him his first job. He worked initially in production, but always knew that his real desire was to be an actor. His first film role was given to him by fellow Arkansan, Billy Bob Thornton, who asked him to appear in 'Sling Blade'.When he's not acting, Scott is pursuing his other passion, performing the pop standards of the jazz, swing, and big band eras. Films he's appeared in have been showcased in festivals in Hollywood, and he's been able to sing in locales as far away as Sorrento, Italy.
