Shade Rupe's interview collection "Dark Stars Rising," featured Divine, Alejandro Jodorowksy, Tura Satana, Udo Kier, Teller, Richard Kern, Gaspar Noe, Johanna Went, Dame Darcy, Dennis Cooper, and other key players of outsider artwork. Shade was the Programming Director for the 26th Annual Olympia Film Festival with guests ranging from "Nothing Lasts Forever" director Tom Schiller and "Holy Mountain" producer Robert Taicher to underground filmmakers Lisa Hammer and Dame Darcy.Shade has appeared on television several times on Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments and 30 Even Scarier Movie Moments and 13 Scariest Movie Moments to a winning ride on an episode of the popular Discovery Channel game show Cash Cab. In 2013 he performed as background talent in films ranging from Ryan Murphy's The Normal Heart to John Cameron Mitchell's Happyish starring Philip Seymour Hoffman.
