Shane Pollard was born in Toronto but grew up in small town; Oshawa Ontario. His parents, born in Guyana, brought a considerable amount of West Indian culture into his life, which attributed to a major part of his early creative characteristics. A very outgoing teen, he had his first taste of the entertainment industry acting as a main cast member on a community comedy television show for 5 seasons. After graduating, Shane auditioned for "Beat the World" with no agent or manager having heard of the audition from a friend and landed his lead role as Carlos. He then trained all over the city in various acting academies an as a result starred in his first award winning film "Hostage".
