Biography
Sherman Allen
Sherman Allen was inspired by a live performance , James Earl Jones' "Of Mice and Men", to enroll in SMU's prestigious Theatre Program. Along with Adam Roarke and Lou Diamond Phillips, Sherman taught film classes at AFI in Hollywood. An original play by "Blindside " director, John Lee Hancock, led to a three-year stint as lead guitarist in The Pipefitters with Lou Diamond Phillips. A win on " Jeopardy" landed Sherman a job in game show development with Merv Griffin. For five years, he co-hosted the irreverent syndicated radio program, "The Cigar Show". An accomplished Audiobook narrator, he even went the distance on "War and Peace"!
