Soren Hellerup was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Got his M.A. from the National Drama School, Copenhagen in 1982. In 1985 Soren received various scholarships and began at H.B. Studio in New York City with teachers Bill Hickey, Helen Gallagher and Aaron Frankel. In 1998 Soren moved to Los Angeles. Besides doing film and television, Soren have been working on a number of theater productions, and received a nomination for best-supporting actor for an ADA Award (2000). In 2011 Soren Hellerup relocated to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he is now working as a director, producer and teacher. Recently completed a 5 weeks film and educational Danish film program for SESC, as well in preproduction for 11 theater production. Besides directing, producing and teaching film and theater, Soren also continue his work as an actor in Brazilian films and television series.
