Steven Buehler began acting in 2008. In his brief acting career in Columbia, MO, Steven has portrayed a range of characters both on stage and on camera. His performances include playing principal characters in nine main stage theatrical productions at the University of Missouri where his performance as Bernard Nightingale in Arcadia earned him a nomination to compete for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Ames, Iowa. Steven has merited additional recognition for his performances on stage at the University of Missouri, being awarded the Tom Berenger Acting Scholarship (2009-10), the John-Ross Berneche Scholarship (2009-10), and the Peggy and Donovan Rhynsburger Scholarship (2010-11 and 2011-12).Steven's film and television experience include performances in three feature-length films. He was cast as a principle character in Columbia's local film, Lit, and also earned a speaking role in A Horrible Way to Die, a film featured in the Toronto International Film Festival. Recently, he was cast in a Swiss Docudrama titled Enemies in Love about Iris von Roten, the first Swiss feminist, in which Steven played Iris' American boyfriend, Louis. Steven has also played principle characters in five local short films, one of which won Best Dramatic Film at the Silver Screen Film Festival held in Columbia. Steven also played the lead character in two paid television commercials for MBS Textbook Exchange.Steven was also elected as the Head of Casting in the MU Film Production Club and was fundamental in helping to orchestrate its very first film festival, the Valentine's Day Film Festival which was a resounding success.After graduating from the University of Missouri in May 2012 with degrees in Theatre and Political Science, Steven plans to move to Los Angeles in August 2012 to pursue his professional acting career.
