Steven Pillemer is a veteran South African writer. He has written, acted and directed theatre; been involved in head-writing, story lining, script editing and script writing over eight hundred episodes of soap, telenovela and daily drama. This includes South African shows shows such as 14, isiBaya, Zabalaza, Golddiggers, Greed and Desire and Scandal. He has also worked as a development executive on two original dramas. The first Harvest, was nominated for best drama at the 2018 South African Film and Television Awards. The second, Housekeepers, premiered in late 2018. He has sold three feature scripts, the first of which, Pop Lock 'n Roll, premiered in 2017. The second, Uncovered is doing post production in late 2018, and the third, Courting Anathi, is in pre-production with a 2019 shoot date.
