Susumu Terajima is a famous Japanese actor who, as of February 2007, has appeared in 78 films, 15 television commercials, and three promotional videos. He is part of Office Kitano, the production company of actor/director/comedian Takeshi Kitano.Terajima was born in Tokyo, Japan, where he still resides. He made his acting debut in 1986's A-Homance, and has been steadily furthering his career ever since. Terajima is frequently cast in supporting roles, but has played the lead character in three films to date (Okaeri, Hole in the Sky, and The Blessing Bell).Terajima is best known for his portrayal of Yakuza figures, most notably in the films of co-worker and close friend Kitano.
