Sydney Hunter has always had a love for the performing arts. She began dancing at the age of two and had her first musical theater stage performance at the age of 6. Moving from Frederick, MD to Greensboro, NC, Sydney began acting classes at inStudio under the instruction of Drew Matthews in 2018. She performed in a musical production of Annie in the summer of 2019 and appeared in her first commercial with Hasbro shortly after. At 9 years old she debuted in her first recurring role as "Young Carolyn" on Genius Aretha Franklin (2021), a National Geographic series starring Cynthia Erivo, Courtney B. Vance and Pauletta Washington.
