Therese Apel is a lifelong crime reporter in Mississippi, and was one of the leading sources of reporting in the murder investigation of Jessica Chambers, a teen from Courtland, Mississippi, who was burned alive.After working at some of the largest media outlets in the state, Apel went on to start her own digital media company, Darkhorse Press.Apel strongly disputes the portrayal of the Chambers investigation put forth by the Oxygen series "Unspeakable Crime."Apel lives in Brandon, Mississippi.
