Biography
Timothy Wilde
A product of comic books, educated through television and film, entertained with role playing games and reared on Oscar Wilde. Timothy began storytelling to be on Star Trek, pursuing acting for ten years while devising and performing theatre restaurant to pay the rent. He fell in love with the art of writing and graduated from AFTRS with a Masters in writing film, television and interactive media. He quickly moved into directing and producing.Timothy has written screenplays for traditional forms of screen stories and trans-media experiences for popular international films and television series including the Emmy award winning, BAFTA nominated "Primeval Evolved". He has written for renowned Australian TV series while penning and directing numerous short films that have screened in international festivals including Cannes, St Tropez, Palm Springs, Manhattan Short. He's also written games for Sony and Nintendo.Timothy's won an Australian Writer's Guild award for best interactive and the John Hinde Award for outstanding science fiction. He enjoyed teaching writing for the screen, trans-media and multi-platform at Metro Screen. Most recently, Timothy co-created, wrote, directed and co-produced the award winning and SPAA nominated interactive murder mystery "Precinct 13" for 13th Street and NBC Universal, for which he was recently nominated for best director in an original online medium by the Australian Director's Guild. He continues to develop television, interactive and feature length drama while creating short films to hone his craft and servicing corporate clients in advertising and marketing. A strong advocate of interactive and trans-media storytelling, Timothy is one of Australia's most sought after interactive writers and directors and continues to push the boundaries of storytelling across new and traditional platforms through the production company Space Gorilla while educating established and would be screen storytellers about the benefits of these new and exciting mediums.
