Biography
Tony Gibson
Born in Texarkana,TX, on March 1st 1979. Tony Gibson with his older brother and mother lived in many small towns through out the US including Burbank, Ca. Oklahoma City, Longview, TX, and surrounding NE Texas small towns growing up. Tony always felt acting and theatrics was his calling, even as a child. Being one of those kids laid out in the floor with ketchup and playing Indiana Jones with his older brother, transforming the house into secret temples and lava pits. At the age of 23, Tony began his career performing in several theater productions while attending Kilgore College. Including "Arsenic & Old Lace", "Lie of The Mind" "and "The Laramie Project" in which multiple roles where given to perform in front of large audiences. Tony Moved to Austin TX in early 2005 to pursue the filming industry. He landed his first role as a club thug in "Jumping Off Bridges". He then met with a local Director and writer, Scott Rice. Who cast him on the hit short film episodic of "Script Cops" picked up by Sony in which Tony played a police officer who spear tackled bad movie writers, for writing bad movies. Tony went on from there working on the set of Trouble Maker Studios, under Director: Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino in the "Planet Terror" version of "Grind house" Starring Bruce Willis, Rose Mcgowan, and Freddy Rodriguez. Followed by the set of Paramount Pictures "Stop loss" Directed by Kimberly Pierce. Tony played a office meps soldier. Experiencing the way professional sets came into play, different from independent film making, Tony took notes and mental record of the what and what nots working along side cast and crew starring: Ryan Phillippe, Joseph Gorden Levitt, and Channing Tatum. Tony was then cast as a Reporter in the Burnt Orange Productions of "Elvis and Anabelle" Directed by Will Geiger, starring Blake Livley, Max Minghella, Mary Steenburgen, and Joe Mantegna. Tony followed up with season 2 of "Script Cops" Directed by Scott Rice, and played another police officer in the 6th Street films production of " The Overbrook Brothers" Directed by John E Bryant. Tony pursued writing and film making before moving back into NE Texas where he made his Directorial Debut with the film "Something in The Woods" also playing the role of Carl. With the project on a shoe string budget and very little chance of success to complete, Tony put in his years of set life experience and brought to life the thriller that writer and lead actor David Ford had put together. Tony was then cast as the role of Satan in "Saint Thaddeus and the Holy Shroud" Directed by Josiah Missick. Followed by the fantasy feature film "Gypsy Moon". Starring Alexis Arnold, Lauren Lox, and Tony Gibson.Written and directed by Tony who looks to release in the fall of 2017. Along with the supernatural thriller called "The Sculptor" which is still in the makings. Tony (CEO) and president of Gibson's Gate Productions will bring out the first of several feature films he has written and looks forward to future projects and sharpening his craft, he has had since childhood." Dont just dream...dream big. Write, read, explore and live in the moment. You are the only one responsible for following your dreams, no one else can take that step but you." Tony Gibson
