Veronica Taylor Wood was born in Lawrence, Kansas, to Ginger Tahsuda, a homemaker, and Shane Wood, a health insurance salesman. She is of Kiowa and Comanche descent on her mother's side, and Irish and German descent on her father's. Veronica began acting at the age of 5, when her mother enrolled her in an acting class at the local community center. It wasn't until she reached the seventh grade, and was able to audition for the school play, however, that she pursued her passion fully.Throughout her teenage years, she was involved in over 20 productions in the community and at Olathe South High School. Some of which included playing Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Ariel in Footloose and Captain Hook in Peter Pan. Along with being the president of her thespian troupe, she also founded and was the captain of her schools competitive improv team. Soon after turning 18, she began to perform improv professionally with Comedy City in Kansas City, Missouri.After Graduating high school, she moved to New York City, where she attended the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts to study film and television. In 2018, she graduated from the conservatory with a degree in Acting.
