From the second season of TOS Star Trek, Akuta is the head of a primitive tribe who feed the machine god, Vaal. He has antenna that allow him to communicate with Vaal and receive instructions. He shows the villagers how to strike the crew of the Enterprise which leads to Vaal's eventual destruction.
