Che Fong is an extremely capable crime lab technician in Honolulu, whose work is helpful to Hawaii Five-O, the state police unit. Che was played by several actors but it was not until Harry Endo took the role that Che was really on the map with Five-O fans. A comedian, who had done an elaborate Five-O comedy routine, joked how McGarrett would tell Che he'd work hard to get Che in the main titles for the next episode. Alas, that never happened, and Che was also listed in the end titles. The character lasted until the early part of the 10th season before fading from view.
