Leah Brahms is a member of the Theoretical Propulsion Group and a graduate of the Daystrom Institute of Technology who is responsible for some of the development of Galaxy-class ships' warp drives.Geordi La Forge first meets Brahms in 2366 when he creates a holographic version of her to learn more about the Enterprise's engine design and they put their heads together to solve a trap ensnaring the ship. He becomes attracted her hologram and so is very surprised when he meets the real Brahms a year later and finds her to be cold, abrupt, and critical of his work.Background: Leah was born September 11, 2336 in Damascus City on Alpha Delphi. She attended the University of Alpha Centauri and earned a B.S. in Subspace Psysics, then earned her Master of Cybermetrics in Optical Technologies from the University of Tomobiki. While working with Design Team 7 she improved dilithium crystal subsystems and plasma resonance sampling devices. Later as a Design Engineer, she improved the subspace field generators aboard ships including USS Enterprise-D and USS Yamato. She wrote several of the engineering manuals for the Enterprise.
