JJ is the son of the deputy mayor who keeps getting into trouble by committing petty vandalism. The Chief gives Lassiter and Juliet the job of taking JJ under their wings and showing him what a life of crime leads to. Unfortunately, he and Lassiter butt heads immediately and just make matters worse. JJ is infatuated with Juliet, so Juliet pulls him into a private room and gives him a stern talking to that nobody can hear, but afterward, JJ is miraculously well behaved and apologetic for all the things he has done wrong.
