Kaylee is the girlfriend of Neal Sampat who works for Will McAvoy as his blog writer. Kaylee has met the rest of the news crew as a party guest. During the 1 year anniversary party of NEWS 2.0 at Will's apartment, she brought Will some very potent medicinal marijuana. Consequently, Will was high later that night when he had to go on air with the breaking news that Osama bin Laden was killed. We learn later that someone close to Kaylee had died when the towers came down. Kaylee didn't find closure in bin Laden's death.
