K'Ehleyr is a half-human, half-Klingon special emissary of the Federation who had a relationship with Worf in 2359, five years before he joins the Enterprise-D. They briefly resume their relationship when she comes aboard the Enterprise-D in 2365 on a mission to intercept a Klingon sleeper ship, but she is not a traditional Klingon woman, and refuses his offer to marry. Worf loves her, but is frustrated by her lack of respect for Klingon tradition and culture.Their brief reunion results in a son, Alexander.
