Mr Quinlan or Quintus as he was formerly known, is two thousand year old, half vampire known as a Born Quinlan's mother was infected with the vampire blood worms while pregnant with him by The Master, changing him before he was born. He has many of the abilities of a higher vampire, including enhanced strength and agility, as well as immortality to anything of natural causes. He lacks the blood worms of other vampires of The Strain, but has a stinger and their other characteristics. The lack of the blood worms within him enable him to walk in the sun in a limited capacity (in the show that seems to be enhanced) He can feel the presence of The Master, but can't be controlled by him as his other offspring can. Quinlan hates The Master for the death of his family, and will not stop hunting him till he is destroyed.
