A tall, tough and troubled dock worker in Baltimore. A lot of things are bothering this guy therefor he is moody and a little easily annoyed. Having a beer with his fellow workers is a common habit among the dockworkers to light up the boring days. He is friends with his cousin Ziggy, son of Frank Sobotka. He wants to get his own home and pay for his child's pre-school. Nick struggles with few working hours and his girlfriend and daughter while living at his childhood home. Though he's smart and a good guy he gets tempted by his brother's ideas of making easy money. All is to make life easier and to end up happy, but the shortcut can't go on forever for them both.
