Nurse Rose has scrubbed in on more than 30 of Dr. Derek Shepherd's surgeries and clearly developed something of an admiration. The two became friends and started dating during a time when Derek and Meredith were broken up. Their relationship was happy and pleasant, but Rose was always self-conscious about it being a rebound thing for Derek. Perhaps for good reason.
