A young boy (age 10 or 11) placed in the foster care system due to parental abuse. Brother of David Cook (teenager). Foster child to Margaret Sanders, whom he loves and would do anything to stay with. Unfortunately all that is in jeopardy because a man (whose identity is known only to Shawn himself) has raped and murdered his younger foster brother Charlie. Shawn is sweet and innocent, and just wants to be with Margaret and his brother, and Bones can personally identify with the boy because of her personal experience of being in the foster care system. She is able to unlock the secrets within this little boy's mind and his heart.
