TAO Barker was the commander of the CIC (Combat Information Center) aboard the USS Nathan James. He held the rank of lieutenant. He oversaw the combat operations and collaborated with L. Gator Mejia for combat navigation activities.Barker was killed by Maryland State trooper Lt. Pete Norris, when the Maryland State troopers took the ship hostage in Baltimore, on orders from Amy Granderson. Lt. Kara Foster was promoted to TAO of the CIC after the NJ got sorted after the Baltimore incident.
