Veronica Loy is the mother of Alicia Florrick and Owen Cavanaugh and grandmother to Grace and Zach Florrick. Alicia and her mother have a strained relationship, in part because Veronica makes no secret of her dislike of Peter. Veronica knows no boundaries and often insinuates herself into her daughter's business. She is much looser and freer than Alicia, although they do seem to share the same love of wine.
