Alan learned to play guitar and drums at the age of seven,and began his musical career in an East London Skiffle group called the Flonnie Gonegans, where he played guitar and banjo. At the age of twelve he started his own band called The Heartbeats,where he played the drums.Whilst at Secondary School,at the age of fifteen,Alan switched to playing Bass Guitar,an instrument he continues to play,and on which he has enjoyed most of his success,which includes being a Session musician at the age of eighteen for some years with EMI. Alan continues to be very successful on the Pub circuit with Ruby Red and Ordinary Guise.Previous Bands on the Club/Function circuit included Skydiver,Five Alive, and Savannah. He has also released a Solo album in 2015 titled "Mister Moon" Alan's acting career began when he was "discovered" by an acting Agency while working with his band during a summer season in a Holiday Resort.
