Alexandre Gorchkov was born and raised in Pavlovo, Gorky region, USSR (now Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia). He started to play in a community theatre while being in high school. He studied aviation engineering at the Moscow Aviation Institute (Technical University) where he became part of the theatre company "Faust". After having left Russia he graduated from the Professional Theatre program at Dawson College in Montreal, Canada. Alexandre has one daughter Katia Gorshkova. They played father and daughter in a TV feature Who Is Simon Miller? (2011). He presently lives and works in Montreal, Canada, where he is studying philosophy at the Université de Montréal and plays accordion with various bands.
