Al'Jaleel McGhee resides in Chicago, IL. Acting, for him, graduated from hobby to fervent passion in 2008 during a run of "Bottom of Ninth," a play that follows residents of New Orleans' lower 9th ward in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He fell in love with theatre's ability to voice to the voiceless, introduce perspective, and inspire change. Since then he as dedicated his life to being a part of projects that reinforce those ideas. He went on to study Acting at the UIC School of Theatre & Music and the Sanford Meisner Acting technique under Kathryn Gately at the Gately-Poole Drama Conservatory. While serving in the Marine Corps, he found time to be extremely active in the Carolina & D.C. artist communities. He has appeared in Chicago's Black Ensemble Theatre, Court Theatre, as well as NBC's Chicago PD and APB on Fox.
