Andre Dupuis was born June 4th, 1980 in Ontario, Canada. He found his passion behind the camera early on and by the age of 19 was working as a camera operator for a Canadian Travel show called Don't Forget your Passport (1999 - 2002). Inspired by his adventures around the world, Andre went on to co-create the travel series Departures (2008). Today Andre is an award-winning cinematographer and director known for his work on travel and adventure documentaries: Departures (2008), Descending (2012), Uprooted with Sarah Sharatt (2016) and Over the Horizon/My Pacific Quest (2017).
