Popular television quiz show presenter in the UK, London-born Anne Hegerty moved to Manchester in the 1980s and became a well-known magazine writer and, later, magazine editor. In subsequent years, she also worked as an Editor for a major UK publishing house but retired from that job when invited to be one of the stars of the then new TV quiz show series, 'The Chase'. Described as one of the world's cleverest women, Hegerty is renowned for her wit as much as her intellect. In January 2018 she successfully settled into the role of hostess of the new ITV quiz show, "Britain's Brightest Family".
