Ben Chase was born in Manhattan, New York City, New York. His family lived in a number of other states including Illinois, Connecticut, Georgia and Florida. He attended Tufts University where he received his B.A. He then received his MFA in Acting from the Brown University/Trinity Rep Program.Since recently graduating, Ben has starred in a revival of ANNA CHRISTIE off-Broadway at the Wild Project and acted opposite Broadway star and Obie-Winner John Douglas Thompson in the first American cast of RED VELVET at Shakespeare and Company in Massachusetts.Ben works frequently in New York with the Drama League and the National Black Theatre. Select regional credits include: Syracuse Stage, Commonwealth Shakespeare, Contemporary American Theatre Festival, and Trinity Repertory Company.TV appearances include roles on DIFFICULT PEOPLE, THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA, and the new series UNDOCUMENTED.He appeared in the Emmy-winning film JIM: THE JAMES FOLEY STORY playing the American journalist James Foley in recreations.
