Born in 1951, Haruo Yanagihara was born in Tokyo, Japan and has over 100 TV and cinema credits to his name including the 1999 version of Godzilla. Primarily, however, Bengaru remains a comedian. Speaking of which, Haruo Yanagihara chose this alias because he once saw a Bengal tiger and decided to copy the animal's posture resulting in a friend giving him that nickname.
