Born in Ames, Iowa and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Butler University and worked at a brokerage firm after leaving school. Was awarded a Tony Honor for Excellence in Theatre for his performance in Baz Luhrmann's production of La Boheme on Broadway. He made his Lincoln Center debut opposite Kelli O'Hara and Victor Garber in Kuret Weill's, Knickerbocker Holiday for which he earned rave reviews. Ben has also performed on Broadway in A Little Night Music, as Javert and Enjolras in Les Miserables, as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie and on tour as Sir Galahad in the Monty Python musical, Spamalot.
