Brian Avers is an actor, writer and director, best known for NCIS: Los Angeles (2009), Gigantic (2008), and The Weekend (2013). He has performed in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway premieres, including The Father (opposite Frank Langella, 2016 Tony Winner for Best Actor), Rock N Roll by Tom Stoppard, The Lieutenant of Inishmore by Martin McDonagh, and Poor Behavior by Theresa Rebeck. Brian received an MFA in Acting from New York University in 2006, where he was one of only twelve artists to be awarded the A.V. Global Fellowship of the Arts. Previously, he attended Marymount Manhattan College (BFA in Acting), and the British American Drama Academy in London. Shortly after leaving NYU, Brian was cast as Edgar in the Public Theater's production of King Lear, opposite Kevin Kline and Logan Marshall-Green. In 2013, Brian created and directed micro-budget indie comedy The Weekend (2013), which was developed in one week, and shot in only three and a half days. Brian was born on September 14, 1978, in Columbus, OH, USA. He splits his time between Brooklyn and Los Angeles; he is married to actress Amy Lynn Stewart.
